Where science & industry meet

Academic Poster Session

Posters portraitThe Plastic Electronics Conference & Showcase 2009 Poster Area provided an excellent forum for researchers in 5 key areas of organic electronics to present their achievements in an informal, interactive and cost-effective way.

Research, development and engineering are progressing rapidly in organic electronics, advancing this technology from the labs and fabs into the marketplace. At the 5th Global Plastic Electronics Conference & Showcase there was a wealth of opportunities to meet with other professionals with the same interests, both from research and industry.

The Plastic Electronics 2009 Poster Area covered 5 application areas in organic electronics:

  • Flexible Displays
  • Lighting & Signage
  • Organic Photovoltaics
  • Organic Electronics
  • Inorganic/Organic Opportunities

Posters provided researchers from science and industry with the opportunity to connect with each other and to engage in debate with peers. Organic electronics, just as any other new emerging technology, needs intensive collaboration between both scientists and industry to turn it into a commercial success. Plastic Electronics 2009 attracted 400 attendees for the conference and showcase ensuring this research reached a wide audience.

The poster area was part of the exhibition, which was located alongside the conference sessions. The exhibition offered facilities to academia, research institutes and industry to show their demonstrators, prototypes, products and ways to produce them to an audience of world-class professionals attending the conference and visiting the showcase.
